As most of you know, one of our organization’s guiding principles is that of being a ‘good neighbor’ in the community. In keeping with that ideal; the Syracuse Brigadiers Alumni Association conducted a special bingo session for the Hospice of Central New York on Sunday, January 27, 2008. 100% of the net profits were donated to this very worthwhile group. They have given many of our members’ families comfort and aid during their time of need. Because of the success of this event, we were able to present a $2000 check to the Hospice of CNY.
When you see Tom Johnson, Sr., give him a big pat on the back for organizing this affair. The photograph below appeared in the Hospice newsletter.

Good and Welfare-
We extend our well wishes for a speedy recovery to everyone who has been suffering recently with the ‘flu bug’.

When you get a chance, give John Slaski and Ken O’Neill a call to wish them well. John is recovering from recent hand surgery and Ken just had a hernia operation.

As well, please keep Reggie Smith and Tom Johnson, Jr. in your thoughts and prayers. Tom will be having a gall bladder operation on Friday, March 7th. Reggie will be having heart surgery at about 1pm on Tuesday, March 18th and will be in St. Joes until at least Friday. Read More »
