Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps - Updated July 28, 2010
April 1st, 2010Rehearsal, Sunday, August 1, 2010
1-4pm
Cicero Medical Building
Our performance at the 2010 Pageant of the Drums at Cicero/North Syracuse High School is a little more than two weeks away. With little time left to rehearse, attendance at this Sunday’s rehearsal is mandatory for everyone planning on being part of this event. If you are not able to attend this Sunday’s rehearsal you must call a member of the 2010 Drum & Bugle Corps Committee prior to Sunday.
Everyone is expected to know both the U.S. and Canadian National Anthems, plus Black Saddle. All three tunes should be memorized. You can anticipate that music stands and music books will not be utilized, except as directed by the instructors.
In order to make this experience as easy and enjoyable as possible you may play either the G or Bb horn, whichever you are more comfortable with.
Anyone who does not currently have a uniform in their possession must drive to our storage facility immediately after this Sunday’s rehearsal to obtain a uniform. Easy directions to our storage facility will be provided at rehearsal. Be aware that this year, uniforms will be distributed at the storage facility only. ”Bob’s Equipment Caddie” is no longer an option to bring equipment to members and no uniforms will be available at Cicero/North Syracuse High School on the day of the Pageant.
We all want a great performance on August 14th, so practice, practice, practice. Remember that the quality of this and all performances is the direct result of the preparation and effort of every individual. It’s a simple formula: Practice + Preparation = Quality. If you follow this simple formula not only will you know it, but everyone else will too. Show your personal pride, make it fun for yourself, and come prepared.
See you Sunday!

The Brigadiers will once again be at NASCAR at Watkins Glen August 6-8. This year we will have three concession stands. We need a minimum of 6 people for Friday, August 6, 16 people on Saturday August 7, and 20 people Sunday August 8.
Anyone over the age of 18 may participate. Camping is available on-site. Come help out for a few hours or the whole weekend.
Contact Mike Brooker - mbrooker59@yahoo.com or Lorri Vandawalker - priceless1163@yahoo.com ASAP if you will be coming. We will need your name as it appears on your license and your date of birth. (Required for NASCAR credentialing purposes only.)
This is another great fund-raising opportunity for the Brigadiers to reach their goal of going out competitively next year.
Looking forward to having a great time!
